REFLECTING TAPES - GENERAL INFORMATION
All reflecting tapes provide excellent visibility for the wearer when out in the dark. If the tape is applied to sleeve ends, or pant cuffs, the reflectors will actually appear to be moving when seen by the motorist, providing the utmost in safety. It is also popular to provide bands of reflective materials to the edges of coats, so that an individual is outlined in reflective material. Reflecting tape can also be applied to pet collars and leashes, or in the case of larger animals to harnesses, reins or saddles. Using Velcro closures with tapes can enable you to make your own armbands, leg bands or body sashes so you can easily put a reflector on yourself, family members or employees when going out in the dark. There are two basic types of reflecting vinyl tapes, prismatic and microspheric. Prismatic tapes tend to be more brilliant reflectors, work well wet or dry, and are most recognizable to you on firemen's coats, construction workers vests, joggers vests, and other safety apparel. Microspheric reflecting tapes are excellent reflectors, offer a wider variety of backings, an extensive range of colors and lower costs in all sizes.
We offer Reflexite vinyl prismatic tape, and one brand of vinyl microspheric tape, Excellite.
Reflexite Brand tapes with sew-on borders are available in White or Fluorescent Yellow colors with plain white backing for sew-on for quick delivery from stock. Nine other colors are available on custom order.
